The size of your cake will depend on the number of people you are catering for. Below is a list of cake sizes and the number of portions you can expect to get. Our cakes are generally 3" high and a standard dessert portion is 1" x 2". If you are serving finger-sized portions of 1" x 1" (normally for fruit cake), then you would get double the number.
Please bear in mind that, for example, whilst you may only be catering for a small number of guests and may only want a small, 6" round cake, and you had an elaborate design in mind, it may not be possible to have that design to fit on a small cake. Another point to consider is the setting or venue and the celebration itself. If you are celebrating a special birthday, the size of the cake has to suit the occasion and not look too inconsequential. No two cakes are the same. The final price will depend on the design of the decorations and/or topper, the time taken to mould them including the addition of detailed work and painting. Even a cake with the simplest of designs will take at least five to six hours from baking to final completion.
Prices listed here are the starting prices for our standard vanilla sponge cakes covered with chocolate buttercream, ganache and sugarpaste/fondant icing. Each cake comes on a board with a matching ribbon. These prices do not include any decoration or sugar models and these are priced per individual order
